Even though I cant remember what made me remember of this great pep talk martin gave, he obviously was talking about the difference of feeling happy and being happy with Jesus and his love but I was able to get that pep talk and connect it with a lot of things in our life because so many times in our lives we have the opportunity to do so many things that are going to help us in a short or distant future that is going to help us become happier and be happy and not only feel happy.
You might be asking yourself what’s the difference between feeling and being happy and basically feeling happy is something that can bring you pleasure but it can also harm in a future since you enjoy it at the moment but afterwards its going to bug you. For example not working on a project, packet or any kind of long homework that you have that week before hand to just spend your Sunday relaxed and do the 1 or 2 homework’s you have and then go to sleep or play ps4 to feel happy but now it Monday at 11 o clock you are feeling super tired because you have slept few hours and you have to start you project, essay, packet or whatever and you are staying up really late hours to finish it and it boils down to those few hours you decided you wanted to feel happy and play ps4 or just watch tv.
Now being happy is a little bit different because the only way to be happy and not feel happy is if you do something that you love and it is not going to bring you harm at all in the future, for instance, if you love music, math, sports or any kind of passion a person can have and peruse it you are going to be happy because I don’t know if you have heard this phrase but for me I think its something common and it goes like this “When you love something and you peruse it everything somehow works by itself.” What I mean with this it isn’t just stop doing things that you don’t like as for example homework but also find a place and time to be able to follow your passion have a little of fun to be able to be happy and not only feel happy for a while and there might be times when you are going to have doubts and think of some bumps over the road to be harms and think of what you are doing as something that makes you feel happy but the only way you may know its something that helps you be happy is if you see those bumps as challenges and goals to overcome.
