Meeting an Expert
This Thursday we went to the magazine Cosas to meet with a very experienced worker in their department called Raul. This guy knew a lot about his work and it was unbelievable how much help we got with that only one interview. That same day almost at the end of the interview you could see a complete different face on every person in the room and that change was from “I don’t know if this project is cool, we don’t know anything about a magazine a side of the obvious” to “I am ready, I know how, what and also why to do it.” If you start questioning yourself while reading this about how am I supposed to know what the whole class thought, it was because when you first hear about doing a magazine about organizations the first thing a persons mind is not “the best project we could have done” but after you get deep into it and you see how fun and learning experience this is it can change your mind completely and get engaged with the topic, or well at least that is what happened to me.
When we arrived we where all kind of nervous and we waited to just hear everything that raul had to say and then an awkward silence and then another questions but after a while we got connected as in a normal IA class and we where able to do a normal conversation with raul asking all kinds of questions and clarifying those questions. It is great to talk at someone that knows so much about the topic you need and also a kind person in it as he explains you very clear everything that needs to be clarified
When we already where all flexible and comfortable talking to Raul it was amazing how you where able to connect with Raul not only personally but also as how to make the class look nicer it was the same things a magazine place would look nicer and comfortable and also how you could see that the people that worked at Cosas could also get distracted as us and that the work would have the same final work with them distracted and us distracted.
